New Construction Homes: Faster Than You Think! 🏠✨

Myth Number 3, a new construction home takes forever to build. Here's the truth. While they do take some time to build, about 9 to 12 months on average, according to the US Census Bureau's survey back in 2021, this does not mean you'll need to wait that long. Many homebuilders often start building well before they have a buyer. Construction of spec homes might already be well underway or even completed before you even start thinking about buying. You can find a move and ready home if you're looking and willing to wait a few months. But still, it would be helpful to do some planning in advance. Make sure to ask how far along the home is in the building process and if it can become completed within a reasonable time frame that fits your needs. It's also worth keeping in mind that the build time will vary depending on the supply chain, availability of labor and materials, and any sort of municipal permitting issues that may come along.
