Hey, Sheboygan county, it's time for your weekly real estate update. My name is Markus, your local realtor, and this is what's happened over the past seven days right here in Sheboygan County.
We saw a total of 7 new listings hit the market. 19 properties that sold, 6 properties came off the market and 1 property did a price reduction. We saw a total of 7 new listings hit the market, 19 properties that sold, 6 properties came off the market without a sale and 1 property did a price reduction.
What does this all mean?
It was the week of Christmas and New Year's, so the number of of new listings and price reductions being much lower than what we have been seeing previously makes a lot of sense. Even so, the amount of sales compared to the amount of new listings definitely moved us towards a lower available inventory, and that pushed us even more into a seller's market. On the buying side of things, rates have dropped from the peak back in October at around 8% to right around six and a half today, and that has pushed up your purchasing power if you're a buyer. On the three listings that my team have active this week, scheduled showings are through the roof compared to the listings that we launched back in November.
